Man Utd make final decision on Ramos

Manchester United have made their final transfer decision on Monterrey defender Sergio Ramos whose contract expires this month.

The Red Devils are currently short in the central defensive department with Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt nursing short-term injuries.

Maguire has been sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring issue, while De Ligt has yet to fully recover from a nagging back problem.

A recent report said that United could make a sensational move for Ramos, who will be a free agent at the beginning of the New Year.

Ramos is open to testing himself in the Premier League before his career concludes, but United are unlikely to make an offer for him.

The Spaniard remains a quality centre-back despite turning almost 40, but United have no desire to propose a contract at the moment.

United are likely to wait until the end of the campaign before pursuing a marquee centre-back. There are no standout targets as of now.
