Man Utd make second Mbeumo bid

Manchester United have made a second offer to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Red Devils recently completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and they are now focused on landing Mbeumo.

Mbeumo has given the green light for the transfer, but the Bees are adamant that they won’t sanction his sale on the cheap.

United’s opening offer worth £45 million plus £10m in add-ons was turned down. They have now made a proposal of more than £60m.

The Bees are most likely to reject the offer too. The club are aiming to secure at least £70m from the sale of the 25-year-old.

Mbeumo had a fantastic 2024/25 season with the Bees. He registered 20 goals and provided eight assists from 38 league games.

He is now prepared to pursue a bigger challenge, and has given his priority to United despite the lack of European football.

It remains to be seen whether United can secure a deal. Newcastle could capitalise if the Red Devils can’t find a solution.
