Manchester United have already made their decision on Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Red Devils are planning for a busy summer ahead and a marquee midfielder could be signed after the recent deal for Ederson.

Tonali has been named as one of the main targets, but Jacobs claims that United have no desire to follow up their interest in the Italian.

The Red Devils are firm admirers of the talented ace, but they are unlikely to meet his wage demands, which are reportedly £250,000 per week.

Furthermore, Newcastle are set to play hardball in negotiations with their valuation. They are said to demand around £100m for his services.

Neither the player nor the club is likely to change their stance, which means United look unlikely to pursue a deal for the former AC Milan man.

He could still depart the Magpies with Arsenal and Manchester City keen. The latter have just made contact with the Tyneside outfit.
