Mbeumo set to join Man Utd

Manchester United have finally reached an agreement to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

The Red Devils started their pursuit of the Cameroon international in early June, and it was anticipated that he would join Matheus Cunha in time for pre-season training.

However, a deal has been delayed for several weeks. United have eventually sealed an agreement to sign the 25-year-old for £65 million with a further £6 million in add-ons.

The fee will be paid in four instalments, according to The Athletic.

Mbeumo is expected to travel to Carrington for his medical tests in the next 24 hours and should be part of the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States later this month.

United have bolstered their squad with two high-profile signings and there could be more activity with a new striker among the priorities for the Mancunian giants this summer.

The club are looking at Aston Villa‘s Ollie Watkins, but a transfer could depend on Rasmus Hojlund heading for the exit door in the near future.
