View Man Utd transfer targets
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of long-term target Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion for a package of £70 million.
The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the Cameroon international and were initially keen on landing his services last summer.
Back then, the Seagulls were reluctant to sell him for less than £115m, which meant that United decided against making a formal approach.
Baleba went on to have a disappointing 2025/26 season. His performances were pretty average as he was hampered by the transfer speculation.
This has proved a blessing in disguise for United, who have signed him for significantly less this summer. They will pay around £70m with add-ons.
The 22-year-old is presently nursing an ankle injury sustained in pre-season with the Seagulls, and may not return to training until mid-September.
The former Lille man will need to build his fitness for several weeks and may only feature for the Red Devils after the international break.
