Manchester United and Arsenal are among European clubs that can trigger the release clause of Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy this summer, according to journalist Patrick Berger.

The Guinean star joined Dortmund from Stuttgart last summer for £18 million, and he has been exceptional for the club with 29 goals and eight assists from 41 appearances thus far.

His form has caught the eye of Europe’s elite clubs and Berger has revealed that United and Arsenal are among seven teams that can trigger his buy-out clause worth £60m this summer.

As things stand, Dortmund and the player are not discussing terms with any club. Guirassy is pleased to continue at the German club who signed him despite his knee issues in the medical.

Guirassy remains committed to the club’s cause and may only consider an exit if Dortmund give the green light. United were heavily linked with the striker prior to his move to Dortmund.

They could consider returning for the former Amiens man.
