Homemade Crockpot hot chocolate is better than any powdered mix!
Turning a bag of chocolate chips into a deliciously creamy hot chocolate drink for the family to enjoy. The recipe is perfect on a chilly day and is super easy (and convenient!) when you use your slow cooker to heat everything up! There’s no powder mix involved in this easy homemade process either. 😉

The best part is your delicious chocolate will stay nice and warm in the slow cooker for when you’re ready to serve it. Crockpot hot chocolate would be a wonderful activity to add to your Christmas bucket list. You could even design a whole evening around creating a festive hot chocolate bar with toppings and have a fun Christmas movie night at home as a family activity. Another great idea is to make a hot chocolate charcuterie-style board.
The winning combination of chocolate chips, cream, and sweetened condensed milk all melted together results in the richest most satisfying hot chocolate drink!

Here’s what my teammate Jenna had to say after making this hot chocolate:
This was fun to make and the perfect time of year for it! I have made other slow cooker hot cocoa recipes that never turned out as awesome as this one — it’s easy to follow and tastes so great! I did find that whisking the hot cocoa a few times really helped to incorporate the chocolate into the milk before serving. I especially love that it can be refrigerated and it heats up beautifully the next day!

We love this recipe so much, as it makes such smooth and velvety hot cocoa. My daughter’s 1st-grade teacher made it for the class one year and gave me the recipe. It sure does remind me of when my kids were younger. Enjoy!
