Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume has given the green light to join Manchester United before the transfer window, according to Fichajes.net.
The Red Devils are keen on landing a defensive midfielder before the transfer deadline. Brighton‘s Carlos Baleba was the initial target, but the Cameroonian is out of the club’s affordability range.
Brighton want at least £120 million to part ways with their prized asset and United are unlikely to afford the package after the huge outlay of more than £200m earlier in the window.
Hence, they are searching for a cost-effective alternative and reports claim that Agoume is on their radar. The Frenchman could be signed for just £20m amid Sevilla’s financial troubles.
Agoume has given the green light for a potential move to Old Trafford, and it remains to be seen whether the club make a formal approach.
They are also keeping tabs on Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller, though the Bundesliga outfit are unlikely to sanction his sale at the moment.
