LSG vs GT: Here’s why Mitchell Marsh is not playing today’s IPL 2025 match



Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is facing Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 26th match of IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Why Mitchell Marsh is not in Lucknow Super Giants’ playing XI?

However, the match saw a change in LSG’s lineup, with Mitchell Marsh absent from the playing XI. Pant revealed at the toss that Marsh is unavailable due to a family emergency: his daughter is unwell. As a result, Himmat Singh replaced Marsh in the home team’s playing XI.

Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, would also have preferred to bowl first. Gill expressed confidence in his team’s all-round contribution, with Washington Sundar replacing Kulwant Khejroliya in their lineup.
