View Liverpool summer 2026 transfer targets
Liverpool are exploring a deal for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori as they seek to strengthen their central defensive department for the new season, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Merseyside giants are in a defensive crisis at the moment. Virgil van Dijk is the only fit senior centre-back in the squad after Joe Gomez‘s unfortunate injury.
Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni are also recovering from respective injuries, which means that the Reds need at least one more centre-back acquisition.
It is now claimed that Tomori has emerged as a possible target for the Anfield giants, given his Rossoneri contract expires at the end of next season.
The Reds value his quality Premier League experience from his Chelsea days and believe he would be a fine addition to their squad as a result.
Milan are open to parting ways with Tomori amid a contract standoff and he could be free to leave for a package of around £25-30 million.
