Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa during the ongoing transfer window.

The Reds are determined to bolster their frontline with another striker and they have identified Alexander Isak as the dream target.

The club recently failed with an opening bid worth £110 million for the Swede and don’t plan to return with a renewed proposal for now.

The Magpies want a replacement first to part ways with the 26-year-old. The Reds are waiting for the green light before lodging a fresh bid.

Amidst this, Caught Offside claim that the Reds are weighing up alternative choices and Wissa is one of the names on their summer shortlist.

The 28-year-old had a superb 2024/25 campaign with the Bees, scoring 19 Premier League goals and is now eyeing a bigger challenge elsewhere.

Brentford have opened the door for his departure, but they are expected to hold out for at least 50 million pounds to sanction his transfer.
