Kingdom Hearts 4 has earned itself the rather unenviable status of being one of gaming’s most anticipated titles. Sure, it is great for there to be so much hype behind a game, but Kingdom Hearts 4, a game teased years ago, remains a fairly elusive title that fans have been desperate to learn more about since it was first announced. With there being so many rumors and rampant speculation circulating on the internet, it is understandable that many would simply resign themselves to waiting for any official information.
Even now, after getting a huge Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer that gave us the best look at the game we’ve gotten, there are still so many mysteries surrounding the project that fans, rightfully, want answered. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Square Enix has any intention of doing that any time soon. Instead, it has an altogether different Kingdom Hearts project for fans to enjoy that’s scheduled to be released in January 2027. While it isn’t KH4, it may just be good enough to distract one from the interminable wait.
Square Enix has finally announced that pre-orders for the latest Kingdom Hearts figure are officially open. While not quite as tantalizing a reveal as, say, information on Kingdom Hearts 4 characters, it is certainly a nice little bonus for KH fans who would rather stare at a neat figure of Sora than watch paint dry as they await the next trailer. The figure, which is of Sora from Kingdom Hearts 3, is part of the FORM-ISM Act range. That is Square Enix’s premium range of poseable figures that typically fetch a rather high price.
In this case, fans can pre-order the Sora FORM-ISM Act figure right now from the official Square Enix store for 13,200 yen, which is roughly $82. While that may seem like a steep price for a figure, it comes with several accessories, as one would expect. Alongside Sora himself, prospective buyers will also get his iconic Keyblade, the Crystal Snow Keyblade (which is inspired by Elsa’s palace from Frozen), two different faces, eight different hand types, and a clip-on stand to help keep Sora upright.
Of course, the figure has a wide range of motion, allowing fans to put Sora in whatever pose they desire, so long as his limbs allow for it. It is also set to ship on January 30, 2027, although, as always, this is a shipping estimate and is subject to change. Nevertheless, if pre-ordered now, and Square Enix sticks to the date it has set, fans should expect to see their Sora figure in February 2027, which is not too far away and potentially, although unlikely, close to Kingdom Hearts 4’s release date.
A figure will never quite be as exciting news as a full-blown deep dive into Kingdom Hearts 4, but it should hopefully serve as a fun collectible for those with the disposable income to spend on it. With its wide range of attachments and being a part of the aforementioned FORM-ISM Act range, there’s a decent chance that this Sora figure will be a lot of fun to display or even play with when it releases. Until then, and, indeed, likely after then, fans can rest assured that Kingdom Hearts 4 news will come, eventually.
