Jujutsu Kaisen season 4 is already giving fans a reason to start worrying about Sukuna again. During the recent JuJu Fes 2026 event in Japan, MAPPA unveiled a new super teaser visual for The Culling Game Part 2 as part of the anime’s fifth-anniversary celebrations. The visual itself is enough to get fans talking, but the real tease comes from the words attached to it: a chilling quote from the King of Curses that strongly hints his long silence is finally coming to an end.
Ever since the Shibuya Incident, Sukuna has taken a surprisingly quiet role while Yuji and the rest of the cast deal with the aftermath. Even through the early stages of the Culling Game, the King of Curses has mostly stayed in the background, leaving fans wondering when he would finally make his next major move. Now, with Sukuna’s ominous words, “Do you remember? I told you we’d see something interesting,” attached to the new visual, Jujutsu Kaisen appears to be reminding everyone that he is still waiting for the right moment.
And if season 4 really is preparing to put Sukuna back at the center of the story, things are about to get very ugly for everyone around Yuji. The Shibuya Incident showed what happens when Sukuna is given room to run wild, and the next time he gets that opportunity, the catastrophic destruction of Shibuya will look like a warm-up in comparison.
A Menacing Visual Teaser Prepares Jujutsu Kaisen Fans For The Return Of The King Of Curses
The newly released super teaser visual does a great job of reminding fans just how menacing Sukuna can be. The King of Curses is almost completely surrounded by darkness, giving the visual a much more sinister feel than a typical anniversary promo. After spending so much of the Culling Game mostly in the background, seeing Sukuna presented this way feels like a clear warning that something much bigger is coming.
As for when Jujutsu Kaisen season 4 will premiere, MAPPA is still keeping the release date under wraps, but that could change very soon. With JuJu Fes 2026 taking place across two days, revealing such a major Sukuna tease on the first day makes it feel like the studio has more announcements ready to go. A full trailer or even a confirmed release window could easily be the next big reveal before the event ends.
Jujutsu Kaisen Sets Up A Devastating Collision Between Satoru Gojo And Sukuna
Jujutsu Kaisen is reaching a point where Sukuna’s return could completely change everything. Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro have finally tracked down Hana Kurusu, the vessel for a reincarnated ancient sorcerer known as the Angel. Her unique cursed technique is the key to breaking the Prison Realm and unsealing Satoru Gojo, so the stakes could hardly be higher.
MAPPA has already teased Gojo’s eventual return in the previous anniversary trailer, but Sukuna’s sudden presence adds another major threat to those plans. With Gojo’s unsealing getting closer and Yuji’s mysterious deal with Sukuna still hanging over the story, the King of Curses has every reason to make his move before the heroes can finish what they started. If season 4 follows through on this latest tease, Jujutsu Kaisen could be setting the stage for the most catastrophic clash the franchise has seen yet.
