It was back in 2014 that Keanu Reeves first stepped into the role of the iconic John Wick and, with another three entries under his belt, he has cemented himself as one of the most iconic movie characters of all time. Not only that, but with Reeves also lending his voice to Payday 2 and Fortnite, the character of John Wick has gone beyond the Hollywood sphere.

Now it seems as though Reeves’ John Wick will finally receive his very own game in the currently named “Untitled John Wick Game.”

Developed by Saber Interactive, perhaps best known for World War Z and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and in partnership with Lionsgate, Untitled John Wick Game does not yet have a release date, but after being unveiled during February’s State of Play event, it is safe to say that it has captured our attention.

Welcoming the return of franchise director Chad Stahelski and Reeves himself, the upcoming single-player story-rich shooter remains something of a mystery at the time of writing, with its official Steam synopsis simply reading, “Be Seeing You.” As such, the only information we have remains as follows:

Created in collaboration between Saber, Lionsgate, and franchise director Chad Stahelski, the new “Untitled John Wick Game” will feature an original script set in the John Wick timeline, expanding on the franchise’s intricate lore with familiar characters fans already know, as well as completely new ones. Saber’s design will be faithful to the unique style and signature elements of the series, including a distinct gun fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, immersive driving experiences, and a variety of memorable environments, all crafted to make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie, playing the role of John Wick himself.

Set to launch on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5, Untitled John Wick Game has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated video game releases of the next few years. However, when we can finally expect to see it launch, remains to be seen. What we do know is that with Reeves returning to the iconic role, we are in for a treat, especially after he took the gaming sphere by storm for his performance as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. It is safe to say that he is no stranger to lending his voice to video game adaptations.

For now, we can only wait for more official information surrounding Untitled John Wick Game, but what we do know, is that a dedicated John Wick game is long overdue.
