Ironheart’s Post-Credits Scene Sets Up 3 MCU Projects (But Will They Happen?)

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Ironheart episodes 4-6.

Ironheart‘s final three episodes have been released on Disney+, bringing with them a post-credit scene that sets up three different MCU projects. The ending of Ironheart episode 3 saw the Hood figure out that it was the titular character who left John to die, setting up an explosive final three installments.

The last three episodes of Ironheart are here, culminating in a deal between Riri and a long theorized Marvel villain: Mephisto. The Hood received his powers from Mephisto, with the latter seeking a deal from Riri, too. This deal, however, was not the subject of Ironheart ‘s post-credit scene. Instead, other potential upcoming MCU movies and shows were teased.

Ironheart‘s post-credit scene saw Parker Robbins, after being defeated by Riri, seeking out the latter’s magical friend, Zelma. Parker asked her for help, using some key terminology that links to Zelma’s past to hint at what could be on the horizon for him. Therefore, Ironheart‘s post-credit scene could set up a lot of MCU stories.

The Ironheart Post-Credits Scene Sets Up An MCU TV Show That’s On Hold

Linked To The World Of The Sorcerer Supreme

The first, and perhaps most obvious, MCU property that Ironheart‘s post-credit scene sets up is Strange Academy. Strange Academy was first announced a few years ago, set to be based on the comic book series of the same name, in which Doctor Strange sets up an academy for young magic users.

The series was believed to be centered on Wong, potentially incorporating the likes of America Chavez. In Ironheart‘s post-credit scene, Parker Robbins visits Zelma, who has links to Kamar-Taj, and asks her for help. Intriguingly, Parker says he needs “Supreme-like help,” hinting he wants aid from the Sorcerer Supreme. This could set up Parker’s enrollment in the Strange Academy.

3 MCU TV Shows Development Stopped By Marvel After Major Television Overhaul That Led To Daredevil: Born Again Changes

Marvel Television puts three MCU Disney+ shows on hold following a development overhaul that will affect all future streaming projects.

That being said, Strange Academy was one of three MCU TV shows reported to have been stalled after the studio’s recent TV overhaul. This report came in February 2025, yet Ironheart‘s post-credit scene does not match this update. The word “Supreme” being used by Parker to someone with Kamar-Taj links can only point to Doctor Strange.

It is worth noting that Strange Academy was not outright canceled by Marvel. The reports indicated that the series was simply placed on hold in light of TV overhauls. This could mean that the creatives at Marvel Studios are looking for a way to revamp Strange Academy in a more typical TV style, as they did with Daredevil: Born Again.

If Strange Academy receives the same type of overhaul as Daredevil: Born Again, Parker Robbins and Zelma can be assumed as two likely students.

The Ironheart Post-Credits Scene Sets Up Season 2

An Equally Unlikely TV Show As Strange Academy

Another MCU show that Ironheart‘s post-credit scene sets up is, well, Ironheart season 2. If Strange Academy is on hold, it would make the most sense for Parker and Zelma’s tease to be picked back up in the second season of the show in which they both debuted. After all, the post-credits scene was not Ironheart‘s only loose thread.

Nat was brought back to life by Mephisto, which can only mean dark things for Riri in the future…

Ironheart‘s final episode left a lot of storylines in need of continuing. One was Ezekiel Stane’s unfinished business with Riri, while another was the entire Mephisto-Riri plot twist. Nat was brought back to life by Mephisto, which can only mean dark things for Riri in the future. All of this hints at Ironheart season 2.

Whether Ironheart season 2 is greenlit, though, remains to be seen. The first season was barely marketed by Marvel, and it was all dumped unceremoniously on Disney+ in two weeks. This could mean that Ironheart season 2 doesn’t even happen, meaning Parker’s magic-based hints – and the show’s other storylines – are left hanging.

Ironheart’s Ending And Post-Credits Scene Could Set Up The MCU’s Young Avengers

When linking some of Ironheart‘s lingering plot threads together, the post-credit scene of the show could be teasing the Young Avengers. Admittedly, the MCU’s Young Avengers have been teased for a while now, and it seems Marvel may be going in a different direction with it than the forthcoming theory. Nonetheless, nothing is impossible.

The theory in question comes from a Marvel Comics storyline involving the Champions, often tied to Ironheart. This storyline sees Mephisto making deals with several young heroes, leading to Ironheart being possessed by his son, Blackheart. Mephisto could be shown to make deals with many young MCU heroes, potentially in a bid to possess each of them.

The MCU is getting closer to assembling a new generation of superheroes. These are the Young Avengers that have already been set up for Phase 4.

This Champions storyline could simply be switched into one for the Young Avengers in the MCU. That way, Parker and Zelma’s magic storyline could come back around. Parker knows of Mephisto’s evil and could have a change of heart, wishing to free Riri from his grasp. This seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

With Zelma beside him, too, and potentially some Doctor Strange mentorship, it is not impossible for Parker to turn on Mephisto.

Evidently, Ironheart‘s post-credit scene sets up several MCU stories. Whether these stories come to fruition remains entirely on Marvel’s planned future for the character. With such potential teased in a post-credit scene, though it would be a shame if Ironheart were not to continue.
