IPL 2026 Final Ceremony: Complete List of Award Winners, Prize Money – Who Won Orange Cap, Purple Cap, MVP and Emerging Player?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) capped off another memorable Indian Premier League (IPL) season by successfully defending their championship, defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. The victory marked RCB’s second consecutive IPL title and placed them among an elite group of franchises to achieve back-to-back championships. While the Bengaluru side celebrated another trophy-winning campaign, the season also witnessed the emergence of a teenage superstar who stole the spotlight with extraordinary performances throughout the tournament.

RCB join exclusive IPL club

The defending champions produced a clinical all-round display in the title clash, overcoming Gujarat Titans in front of a packed crowd. Their triumph made them only the third team in IPL history to win consecutive championships, joining the ranks of Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

The victory sparked celebrations among fans across India, with supporters taking to the streets, bursting fireworks, and cheering for their team’s historic achievement. RCB’s consistency throughout the season played a key role in helping them retain the coveted trophy.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi enjoys a dream season

Although RCB lifted the IPL trophy, Rajasthan Royals prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi emerged as the biggest individual star of the tournament. At just 15 years of age, the young batter delivered one of the most remarkable seasons in IPL history. Suryavanshi finished as the leading run-scorer of IPL 2026, accumulating 776 runs to secure the Orange Cap. His aggressive batting style and fearless approach made him one of the most entertaining players of the season.

The teenager also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and was named Emerging Player of the Season, underlining his immense impact on the competition. In addition, he claimed the Super Striker of the Season award after maintaining a staggering strike rate of 237.3.

His dominance did not end there. Suryavanshi also received the Super Sixes award after smashing an astonishing 72 sixes during the campaign, highlighting his power-hitting ability and consistency.

Kagiso Rabada tops bowling charts

On the bowling front, Gujarat Titans speedster Kagiso Rabada enjoyed an outstanding season despite his team’s defeat in the final. The South African pacer finished with 29 wickets, the highest tally in the tournament, earning him the prestigious Purple Cap.

Rabada’s ability to deliver breakthroughs in crucial situations played a major role in Gujarat’s journey to the final and established him as one of the standout bowlers of the season.

Other major award winners

Punjab Kings were recognised for their exemplary conduct and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, receiving the Fair Play Award. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders veteran Manish Pandey earned the Catch of the Season award for his spectacular one-handed catch at backward point to dismiss Tim David during a league-stage encounter against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

As IPL 2026 came to a close, the season will be remembered not only for RCB’s successful title defence but also for the sensational rise of Suryavanshi, whose record-breaking campaign signalled the arrival of a new superstar on cricket’s biggest T20 stage.
