The French media heaped praise on Liverpool defender Jeremy Jacquet after his fabulous showing on his France debut against Belgium last night.
The centre-back was handed his maiden senior cap with Les Bleus, and he made the most of the opportunity with a sensational defensive showing.
Jacquet lost just one of his duels contested and made four recoveries. He completed 92 percent of his passes and looked assured in central defence.
His performance was rated as 8/10 by French outlet Ouest-France, who went on to describe him as a seasoned campaigner after showing no signs of nervousness.
Jacquet has shown maturity beyond his years since his move to Liverpool and he has proved an upgrade on Ibrahima Konate, who left on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old has made the right centre-back position his own and has formed a brilliant partnership alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Reds defence.
Jacquet will be hoping to keep his place in the starting XI when France face off against Italy in their next Nations League match on home soil.
