The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the schedule for the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025, which will take place in Pakistan from April 9 to 19. The tournament will be a crucial battle for teams vying for the final two spots in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup later this year.

Tournament format and venues

The sixth edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier will feature four full-member nations—Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Ireland—alongside two associate teams, Scotland and Thailand. The matches will be held at two venues in Lahore, namely Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore Cricket Club Association (LCCA) Ground.

A total of 15 matches will be played throughout the tournament, with the opening day featuring an exciting clash between hosts Pakistan and Ireland at the Gaddafi Stadium. Meanwhile, West Indies will face Scotland at the LCCA Ground on the same day.

Qualification for the Women’s Cricket World Cup

At the conclusion of the league-stage matches, the top two teams will secure their spots in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. They will join Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and India, who have already qualified based on their top-six finish in the ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25).
