Puzzles play a large part in the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy, and one of the trickiest to solve can be found in The Hall of Herodiana, a secret location within Hogwarts Castle. This puzzle consists of 3 smaller puzzles you will need to solve using Accio and Depulso, so you will need these spells unlocked to complete the tasks in The Hall of Herodiana.

When you can, speak to Sophronia Franklin, a Ravenclaw student, near the Charms classroom. She will tell you about Herodiana and how this master of the Banishing charm had a private space in Hogwarts that will be marked on your map.

Follow the icon to the Astronomy Wing in Hogwarts Legacy or fast travel to the Transfiguration classroom and head to the spot on your map. Use Depulso to activate a brass switch hidden on the marble wall, revealing the Hall of Herodiana.

How To Solve The First Hall Of Herodiana Puzzle

Use Depulso To Move The Blocks & Unlock Herodiana’s Cape

Upon entering the hall, you will face the first three puzzles. In front of you, you will see two large interactive cubes. The key to Herodiana’s puzzles will be the Depulso spell you used initially to access the area, and it is one of the many classroom spells you should have unlocked early on in your journey through Hogwarts Legacy.

• To solve the first and simplest of the three puzzles, you need to push the metal cubes against the wall with Depulso. You’ll need to push them twice to get them all the way against the wall.

Moving these blocks will give you a platform to climb on to reach the upper section of the room, where you will find the first piece of your cosmetic reward for completing these puzzles, Herodiana’s Cape. Proceed to complete two more puzzle rooms in Hogwarts Legacy and receive the remaining pieces of your reward.

Note that while this one was fairly straightforward, the others will get more complicated.

How To Solve The Second Hall Of Herodiana Puzzle

Use Accio On The Blocks To Solve The Puzzle & Unlock Herodiana’s Cap

For the second puzzle, in addition to Depulso, you will need to use Accio to help you rearrange blocks and solve the puzzle.

• To solve the second puzzle, first I connected the blocks from the right wall to the single block to my left with the Accio spell. Doing this will group every block in the room together, which let me move them into three sets.
• Finally, with Depulso, I pushed the three blocks forward to my right until they were lined up against the edge of the puzzle area, letting me climb up to the platform above.

One nice feature of these puzzles is that while you are moving through the rooms and figuring out these puzzles, there are no enemies to fight anywhere, so you don’t have to be keeping your guard up the whole time you’re in The Hall of Herodiana.

You should now find a chest containing another piece of Hogwarts Legacy gear once you climb the blocks you moved. Proceed to complete the third and final puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana.

How To Solve The Third Hall Of Herodiana Puzzle

Solve The Final Puzzle By Resetting The Room & Unlock Herodiana’s Attire

The last puzzle here in Hogwarts Legacy is the most difficult, with way more blocks to move than the previous two rooms combined, but it also means the best reward.

• First, use Accio to pull the blocks on the ground to the right wall.
• Then, push them forward with Depulso until they hit the spot with a switch.
• Next, climb up using the blocks on your left to get a better angle to drag the blocks from the right wall to you with Accio.

When the room is reset, the blocks you moved at the start will return to their original positions, allowing you to move them to the left wall instead of the right.

• The final step is to pull the blocks toward you.

This will then form a final path and platform to reach the top of the area, where you will find your last and final reward.

What Are The Hall Of Herodiana’s Rewards

Collect Three Cosmetics To Complete A Legendary Look

For each of the puzzle rewards, you will collect one of three pieces of Herodiana’s full gear. This rare set was once worn by Herodiana and is one of the better looking ensembles in the game.

To formally complete the Hall of Herodiana quest in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need to open your customization menu and equip each of the three pieces of gear. Once you’ve done that, return to Sophronia Franklin, the Ravenclaw student you spoke to at the beginning of this quest, to show it to her.

Remember that you can equip these items at any time or use the transmog feature to achieve the look while maintaining the stats of better gear you have equipped. Note that those who solve each of Herodiana’s puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy will also earn plenty of XP from their efforts and that this is just one of many hidden secrets waiting for you around Hogwarts.
