Move over, Starbucks! We’ll be making our own fancy cold foam drinks now.

I will be sharing how to make a vanilla flavor perfect for any iced coffee drink, as well as a strawberry-flavored cold foam you can pour over chocolate milk or coffee! Turns out all you need to add is a bit of strawberry jam or strawberry syrup to flavor it.

I love a good cold foam drink, and have been buying the cold foam in a can, but honestly, this is super simple to make instead.

using a frother to make cold foam

The one piece of essential equipment is an inexpensive frother!

A handheld milk frother is the secret to achieving that light, fluffy coffeehouse-style texture at home. In just a few seconds, it blends the whipped cream cheese and milk into a smooth, creamy foam that’s perfect for floating on top of iced coffee or cold brew.

Some other fun flavor add-ins to consider:

  • Brown sugar cinnamon
  • Caramel
  • Pumpkin spice
  • White chocolate
  • Raspberry cheesecake
  • Honey vanilla

Extra tips for the best cold foam recipe:

  • Use whipped cream cheese for the smoothest texture. Let it come to room temperature first.
