Gundam has earned its place as one of the most iconic anime properties of all time. Ithas since expanded into many forms of media, including video games, tabletop experiences, feature films, andmore. Many mecha shows have tried to tangle for the crown, but Gundam remains indomitable, constantly pushing boundaries with new shows and concepts.
Part of that is its frank take on war and conflict, which often has an edge, especially in some of the bigger and more popular series. Now, thanks to official confirmation from Bandai Namco, you’ll be able to try out Gundam: Heavy Dominion very soon.
Later this month, the Heavy Dominion [ST14] deck will launch for the Gundam Card Game TCG. The “ST14” part of the moniker stands for “Starter” Deck, and this is the 14th in a long line of releases. It’s out on September 25, 2026, and it could go fast.
Bandai Namco has given us a look at the 16 cards that will be adorning this set, including The O, the Gundam NT-1, G-Falcon DX, and pilots like Paptimus Scirocco, and Banagher Links. The entire set is themed around the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam. This is a green/white starter and focuses on heavily armored units. Bandai Namco explains that it’s not only viable in 1v1 battles, it’s also great for higher player counts.
As is customary for Gundam TCG sets, here’s what you get with this particular starter deck:
- x1 Ready-to-play 50-card deck
- x10 Resource Cards
- x2 Token Cards
- x1 Paper Damage Counter
- x1 Rule/Playsheet
- x1 Bonus Pack
Just like many other TCG starter decks, it comes with the ruleset to learn how to play, a fully constructed deck that you can use out of the box, and resources/tokens, with no need for a core set. If you pick up one of these starters, you can play it out of the box with another friend, as long as they also have a deck.
While the Heavy Dominion starter retails for $15.99, it can go for much more in your region, depending on Gundam TCG shortages. It’s incredibly tough to find these starters in some parts of the US, for example, and they can go for at least double, if not more, on TCG markets.
The Gundam Card Game was originally released in mid-July, and has seen a degree of success in a lot of markets. At some local stores, it’s one of the top-played games, and if a store is all-in on Bandai Namco support, it often becomes a haven for Gundam TCG players.

The Gundam franchise is a cornerstone of mecha anime, featuring giant robots known as “mobile suits” in various wartime settings. Originating with Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979, it explores complex themes of war, politics, and humanity through the struggles of pilots who navigate these massive machines. The franchise spans multiple timelines and universes, creating a rich tapestry of interconnected stories and standalone narratives.
