GTA 6 Extra Pre-Order Bonus Officially Revealed

With preorders now open for Grand Theft Auto 6, all fans can do, once more, is patiently wait for Rockstar to rear its head whenever it has more to reveal or advertise. It hopefully won’t be much longer before we see Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay, seeing how there are only four months until the game launches, but fans can and would preorder Grand Theft Auto 6 even if it announced that it wouldn’t be sharing any genuine gameplay before the game was released.

Preorders themselves have seemed quite pointless for fans due to the game only truly being available digitally anyway, though if you’re going to buy the game when it releases, you might as well buy it in advance in order to get your hands on the Vintage Vice City Pack for Grand Theft Auto 6. Plus, anyone who preorders the game will earn another bonus that they might not be aware of.

On Twitter/X, user GTA 6 Countdown has discovered that the Grand Theft Auto 5 main menu now has a tab that thanks fans for preordering Grand Theft Auto 6 and informs them that they now have a free month of GTA+ to redeem. Notably, this user states that the free GTA+ redemption is valid until March 31, 2027, on PlayStation, and “within 180 days after purchase on Xbox.”

User F111John makes an astute observation when they ask, “What are the odds that a current GTA+ membership will work with an eventual GTA 6 online game?” Indeed, because we don’t yet know how GTA Online will be folded into the experience of Grand Theft Auto 6, it’s only fair that gamers would be skeptical about how valuable a current membership of GTA+ will be in accordance with it.

But, as user GTA 6 Countdown noted, fans can withhold their free month of GTA+ and redeem it in 2027, when we’ll hopefully have more information on Grand Theft Auto 6’s take on GTA Online. For instance, user GameMediaReal writes, “I’m not going to activate it until I feel ready to use it. I’m currently going on and off of GTA Online but I’m in two minds of playing some of the older games again.”

Of course, the official Rockstar website also reiterates this preorder bonus. Here, Rockstar thoroughly describes what players’ free month of GTA+ entails:

“Featuring a recurring monthly GTA$500,000 deposit into your GTA Online character’s bank account, special Shark Cards with 15% bonus GTA$, access to free and discounted GTA Online vehicles, a rotating selection of classic Rockstar Games titles and other featured games in the GTA+ Games Library, and much more.”

For some fans, this could be a wonderful incentive to preorder Grand Theft Auto 6. Either way, it’s not something fans should overlook if they plan to subscribe to GTA+ at any time in the foreseeable future, with the precise timing of when they redeem it best left to whenever fans believe they’d get the most value out of it.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026.
