Ugarte to Galatasaray?

Galatasaray are keen on landing the signature of Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte during the winter transfer window.

The Uruguay international has struggled for regular playing time under manager Ruben Amorim. He has managed only 522 minutes in the ongoing season.

Ugarte has started the last three games for the Mancunian giants, but this has been primarily due to the injury absence of club captain Bruno Fernandes.

Once Fernandes returns to action, Ugarte is most likely to drop to the bench as Casemiro has been preferred alongside the Portugal international.

The Daily Mail now claim that Galatasaray are keen on landing Ugarte and could make a formal approach for his services at the turn of the year.

It is highly unlikely that United will sanction his sale during the winter period and could wait until the end of the season to part ways with him.

Crystal Palace‘s Adam Wharton is a target to replace Ugarte next summer.
