Dragon Ball Z Fans, Mark Your Calendars For September 17

Dragon Ball games will never end. We’re getting Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3 in 2027, and it will likely not be the only entry releasing that year. Bandai Namco has a ton of plans for the series, and it’s moving forward for the foreseeable future.

While we wait to see if Kakarot will get a sequel, Bandai Namco’s full force is going toward finishing Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3, which seems a little closer to launch than we thought. Based on a brand-new update from Bandai Namco, we know exactly when the next Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3 demo is going to hit [via RPG Site].

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Is Coming To TGS

Thankfully, ahead of the September 17 kickoff of TGS (Tokyo Game Show) in Japan, Bandai Namco has given us a clue as to what they’re bringing to the show:

  • Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
  • Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3
  • One Piece Sea Feast Restaurant
  • Bleach Mirrors High
  • Tales of Eternia Remastered
  • Once Upon A Katamari Damacy
  • Tamagotchi’s Petit Petit Shop

It’s a pretty big lineup of IP-based games, and XenoVerse 3 sticks out immediately. This is one of the few times it’s been playable in all of 2027, after a hands-off demonstration at Summer Game Fest 2026, and a hands-on at Fun Expo 2026 in Seoul, Korea.

Here’s what the demo entails: “You will choose two playable avatars with different fighting styles and awakening techniques, and take on missions as a member of the GS (Great Saiyan) Sentai. This demo allows you to enjoy the experience of defeating Broly (Super) SS Full Power.”

I actually saw this snow mission play out with Broly at SGF, and it did a decent job at showcasing all of the game’s mechanics, including the ability to soul link and tap into the power of a classic Dragon Ball character.

Xenoverse Teammates

In addition to demos, there’s also going to be some extras on the show floor: “Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. will be exhibiting at “Tokyo Game Show 2026 (hereinafter TGS2026)”, which will be held from September 17th (Thursday) to September 21st (Monday/National Holiday), 2026. At TGS2026, Bandai Namco Entertainment will be exhibiting its latest game titles at the Bandai Namco Entertainment booth (Hall 5). They will also have playable demos at the Family Game Park (TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall) and merchandise sales at the Asobi Store pop-up shop (Hall 11).”

If you’re into Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3 at all and are attending TGS, you could finally get a chance to play it. If all else fails, this news shows that Bandai Namco is confident in bringing it to other game shows, so be on the lookout.
