Crawler Chaos Officially Lands November 2026

Dungeon Crawler Carl really is one of the most exciting emerging universes around right now, growing massively in popularity since debuting as a web serial on Royal Road back in December 2019. Since those humble origins, it has grown significantly into books, audiobooks, and even a full hardcover release.

As is so often the case now, a TV adaptation is in development for Peacock from Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions, and the future really looks like it doesn’t have limits if things continue as they currently are. Now, another adaptation is on the way soon, and it should serve as the most interactive way of getting involved with the IP, full stop.

Over on the official Wayland Games website, you should be able to find the store page for Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable – Crawler Chaos, an expansion for the base version of the game. If you haven’t come across Unstoppable before, it’s essentially a solo or two-player cooperative card-crafting deck-builder, and one of the great ways to pass the time if you can’t get all of your friends together.

The base set is on the way very soon, and this latest effort is an expansion that should give you a lot more playstyle options, as well as new characters to make the game come alive a little more. In sharing a little about what fans can expect from the game, the manufacturer shared the following description:

“A new cast of Crawlers enters the World Dungeon! Expand your copy of Dungeon Crawler Carl Unstoppable with new playable crawlers, including the durable Katia, the supportive Imani, the spell-slinging Prepotente, and the nimble brawler Archie. You can even build your own crawler and take on the dungeon yourself! Also includes a new short story by Ben Wolf titled: “Swarm” which recounts the tale of Archie’s entrance into the World Dungeon.”

That new short story is a lovely little incentive for a players who enjoy the world, which is already filled with so many interesting tales of woe and strife. The offering included in the box is also extensive, with the full list of contents already published ahead of time by the developer, so fans know exactly what they’re getting:

  • 6 Crawler Portrait Cards
  • 21 Character Cards
  • 21 Starting Threat Cards
  • 8 Race Cards
  • 8 Class Cards
  • 30 Sleeves
  • 5 Card Dividers
  • 1 Storybook
  • 1 Rules sheet

The fun doesn’t stop there for Dungeon Crawler Carl fans either, as a major new crowdfunded TTRPG is on the way next year that should be one of the most exciting adaptations we’ve seen to date. The TV show is likely a lot further away, but it’s always nice to have something to look forward to as fans.
