Los Blancos are on a three-match winning run after beating Elche 3-2 away in La Liga on Tuesday and are six points behind leaders Barcelona with a game in hand.

Atleti are on a two-match stretch of victories, winning 3-0 at Real Sociedad before thrashing Osasuna 4-0 at home on Wednesday.

That has put Diego Simeone’s side two points behind Madrid and third-placed Betis, as well as two clear of sixth-placed Deportivo.
