Nkunku set for Chelsea stay?

Christopher Nkunku could continue at Chelsea for another season amid the lack of breakthrough in negotiations with Bayern Munich.

The Blues are determined to part ways with the Frenchman, and talks have been ongoing with Bayern for the playmaker’s departure.

However, there has been no progress made. The Blues want to offload Nkunku permanently while Bayern want a straight loan deal.

Hence, it is unlikely that the Bavarian giants will land his signature. There is now a high possibility that Nkunku will continue at the Blues.

Chelsea have received no proposals from any other European club while Nkunku has no desire to move to the Saudi Pro League for now.

RB Leipzig tried to sign Nkunku in a swap deal for Xavi Simons earlier this month, but Nkunku prefers to join a Champions League outfit.

Chelsea are still in discussions with Leipzig for Simons, and they may have to negotiate a straight-cash deal for the Netherlands playmaker.
