Sesko to Chelsea?

Chelsea could turn their attention to signing Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko, according to The Guardian.

The Blues have already bolstered their striking department with the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.

A fee has been agreed with the Championship outfit and Delap will undergo his medical in the next 24 hours.

The club are keen on landing another striker before the Club World Cup.

Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike is the prime target, but the German club won’t sell him for less than €100m.

Chelsea are reluctant to pay anything over €75m and they could turn their attention to Sesko in the near future.

Sesko has decided to pursue a new challenge away from Leipzig. Arsenal have entered concrete talks for him.

However, they are still negotiating on the payment terms as they have no plans of paying his €80m release clause.

Chelsea could hijack the deal if they can’t secure Ekitike’s services. Sesko would be a top-class signing for them.
