Chelsea are edging closer to a transfer deal for Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, with the Argentina international winger set for a move in a package worth approximately £50 million. Garnacho has indicated that he will never play for Man Utd again, and Ruben Amorim has given the green light for the player’s departure.
It is understood that Chelsea are still hoping to sign three players before the transfer window closes, including Xavi Simons, who is expected to arrive before September 1st. Garnacho could be signed and sealed before Wednesday of this week, with just minor details of the contract to be concluded.
The 21-year-old has played 93 Premier League games, scoring sixteen goals, and has caught the eye of several teams outside of England, including Napoli and Barcelona.
However it is understood that Garnacho has eyes only for Chelsea and has informed his agent that a deal must be agreed as soon as possible.
Chelsea are trying to find funds to pay for the transfer, as Aaron Anselmino and Aaron Anselmino look set for a move to Borussia Dortmund in a package worth around £43 million.
