Al-Ittihad have an appreciation for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Portugal international has already turned down moves to Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr this summer, but Al-Ittihad have now joined the pursuit.

The Saudi Pro League giants have held talks with the player’s camp and have also expressed an admiration for the Portuguese’s talents.

However, there has been no formal offer on the table at the moment.

United are not actively looking to part ways with Fernandes, but won’t come in the way if the 30-year-old decides to move on soon.

His departure may not be a bad thing, considering the Red Devils have added two creative players in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Fernandes has struggled to provide control from the number eight role and United could seek a marquee replacement if he were to leave.

Brighton‘s Carlos Baleba is a top target for the Red Devils, but he won’t come on the cheap with a huge price tag of £120 million.
