Spanish champions Barcelona are weighing up an approach for Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to El Chiringuito TV.
The Catalan giants recently parted ways with Ferran Torres, who netted 21 goals for them in all competitions last campaign.
His departure alongside Robert Lewandowski has left a big void to fill in the centre-forward department ahead of next season.
Gyokeres was viewed as a possible target for the Blaugrana last year and they are now expected to lodge a formal bid for his services.
The Swede has played second fiddle to Kai Havertz for the striker’s role in recent times and his future has been put into doubt.
Arsenal have recently expressed an interest in landing Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen. His arrival could pave the way for Gyokeres’ exit.
Still, he is unlikely to come on the cheap for his suitors. Arsenal will want to recoup the £64m fee spent on his services last summer.
Barcelona are likely to make a formal bid in the next few days.
