View Arsenal summer 2026 transfer targets
Barcelona are reportedly eyeing an ambitious move for Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie this summer.
The Catalan giants have been busy over the past few days. They have already reached an agreement to sign Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon.
The Blaugrana are also working on the transfer of Atletico striker Julian Alvarez, and they are optimistic of finalising a deal on short notice.
A left centre-back is the next priority for the Spanish champions, and The Daily Mail claim that they are eyeing a surprise move for Gunners star Hincapie.
The north London giants signed the Ecuadorian from Bayer Leverkusen on loan with a conditional obligation to buy for around £45 million.
The clause is most likely to have been triggered, and Barcelona will have to directly discuss terms with Arsenal to purchase the 24-year-old.
Barcelona seem prepared to pay a similar £45 million fee for the player, and it seems highly unlikely that Arsenal will consider his immediate sale.
