Barcelona close in on new winger Bisiwu

Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign winger Jesse Bisiwu, according to reports in Catalonia.

The 18-year-old is expected to sign for the Liga champions from Club Brugge for €8.5million with the Belgian club also holding a 20% sell-on clause.

Bisiwu has been a key target for Barca for several weeks with the club’s sporting director Deco and chief scout Joao Amaral travelling to Bruges themselves to try to broker a deal.

Despite his tender years, Mundo Deportivo claim Bisiwu will train with the first-team squad but is likely, at least initially, to play games for Barca Athletic.

The Belgium youth international will have fierce competition if he wants to earn a place in the squad that clinched the title last season.

Raphinha is fit after an injury-plagued 2025/26 campaign while the club signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle for around £70m prior to the World Cup.
