View Arsenal summer 2026 transfer targets
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa is very open to the prospect of joining Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window, according to HandofArsenal.
The Gunners are eager to land a new central defender after the back injury sustained by William Saliba. The Frenchman is expected to be out of action for at least four months.
Konsa has emerged as the prime target for the Premier League holders, but they have yet to meet the asking price set by the Villans.
Unai Emery‘s side want around £60m for the former Brentford man, but Arsenal are presently reluctant to pay more than £40m.
As a result, there has been an impasse in negotiations, but Konsa on his side remains ‘very open’ to joining the north London giants.
He is unlikely to push for a move away from the Midlands outfit and remains optimistic that Arsenal will secure a deal for him.
The Gunners may need to spend at least £50m to convince Villa.
