Arsenal are not exploring a move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao this summer, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners are searching for a left-sided winger in the transfer market and they could make a late swoop after recouping transfer funds.

Leao has been mentioned as a possible target among the fanbase, but Romano has clarified that Arsenal are not contemplating a move for the Portuguese.

He added that the former Lille man is expected to stay with the Rossoneri.

Arsenal currently have Eberechi Eze as one of their top targets, but any move will depend on parting ways with a couple of attacking players.

Reiss Nelson is guaranteed to head for the exit door in the coming weeks and alongside him, one of Leandro Trossard or Fabio Vieira may have to leave.

Hence, the Gunners have to play the waiting game. A deal will largely rely on whether they can recoup sufficient funds for an initial payment for Eze

Palace want at least £30m out of the £68m fee paid this summer.
