Arsenal target Morten Hjulmand has agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid ahead of a potential transfer, according to A Bola.

The Denmark international has been tipped to leave Sporting CP this summer, and he has been linked with a possible move to the Gunners.

However, Atletico are now moving quickly to try and secure an agreement. They have now sorted personal terms with the former Lecce man.

The club are still working on sorting out a fee with the Portuguese outfit, who are holding out for at least 39 million pounds to sanction his sale.

Atletico prefer to pay a lesser fee upfront with add-ons, and this has been a key reason behind the slow progress towards the player’s transfer.

Arsenal have been linked on many occasions in the past few months, but for now, the club are not weighing up a move for the Danish ace.

Manchester United were also admirers when manager Ruben Amorim was at the helm, but their priorities may have changed ever since.
