Havertz to make appearance vs Portsmouth?

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz could make his first appearance in almost five months during the FA Cup third round tie against Portsmouth tomorrow.

The German ace has been sidelined since mid-August when he suffered a knee injury against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Havertz was back in the matchday squad against Aston Villa, but has since missed the last two games due to workload management.

Speaking in his pre-match presser, manager Mikel Arteta has now said that Havertz could return against Pompey on Sunday afternoon.

Gabriel Jesus is expected to lead the line against Pompey with Viktor Gyokeres set for a much-needed breather due to his heavy workload.

This could pave the way for Havertz to come off the bench tomorrow.

Arsenal are heavy favourites to beat Pompey at Fratton Park. Arteta will be aiming for a convincing victory over the Championship outfit.

The Gunners are unbeaten against their opposition for 67 years.
