Arsenal set to make third Bruno bid

Arsenal are preparing a third bid to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer, according to UOL.

The Gunners have identified the Brazil international as their main target for the transfer window, and they are determined to secure his services.

They have failed with two bids worth £55m and £65m and are now prepared to make a third proposal worth £72m for the former Lyon midfielder.

It is added that the Premier League holders are highly optimistic and believe they are very close to landing the signature of the 28-year-old ace.

Guimaraes has already agreed personal terms over a five-year contract but he is unlikely to push for an exit against the Magpies’ wishes.

Hence, a deal depends on the Gunners reaching an agreement with the Tyneside outfit. Guimaraes is patiently waiting for that to happen.

The 28-year-old had a fantastic 2025/26 season with Newcastle despite their league woes. He managed 15 goal contributions for the Magpies.
