Nelson off to West Ham

Arsenal are poised to sanction the sale of winger Reiss Nelson to West Ham United for around £3m, according to BBC Sport.

The Gunners graduate has been deemed surplus to requirements, and the Gunners prefer to part ways with him permanently.

The Hammers were initially keen on a loan deal for the 26-year-old, but are now negotiating a permanent move for the attacker.

The Championship side are willing to pay around £3m upfront, with possible add-ons depending on their top-flight promotion.

Nelson has opened the door for the move. He prefers to stay in London and believes he could revive his career at the Hammers.

Benfica and Valencia have also expressed interest, but they are unlikely to match his current £100,000-per-week salary at Arsenal.

The Gunners are in the process of offloading players. Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Fabio Vieira are expected to depart too.

Ethan Nwaneri is also available for the right price. The Gunners will want a buy-back clause if he leaves before the deadline.
