Tresoldi to Arsenal?

Arsenal are closely monitoring Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi ahead of the January transfer window.

The German was heavily linked with a move away from the Belgian champions this summer, but Brugge eventually decided to keep hold of him.

This has not ended the speculation regarding his future, and reports claim that Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta has been in contact with Brugge.

Tresoldi is said to be open to pursuing his next big challenge in the Premier League, but he won’t push for an exit against his club’s wishes.

Brugge previously sold Christos Tzolis to the Gunners, and the Greek has proved a fantastic signing for the club with four goals in all competitions.

Tzolis recently picked up a hamstring injury on international duty, and he could be sidelined for the next two or three weeks after the setback.

It remains to be seen whether he can reunite with Tresoldi in January. There is no indication that Brugge will entertain a mid-season exit for now.
