Merino fit to face PSG?

Arsenal have been handed a huge injury boost for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain next weekend.

The Gunners have progressed to their second-ever final in the European competition and will go into that game as underdogs.

Ahead of the encounter, they have received a boost with midfielder Mikel Merino back in training after a prolonged injury absence.

The Spaniard has been sidelined since early February with a foot injury, but he has managed to return to full training this week.

The midfielder will be working on his fitness over the coming days in preparation for the final against PSG on the 30th of May.

While Merino is poised to make the matchday squad at least, there may not be a spot for Jurrien Timber, as things stand.

The Dutchman has been nursing a nagging groin issue and reports claim that he is facing a race against time to be deemed fit.

Arsenal have no more issues in the squad at the moment.
