Liverpool manager Arne Slot has dropped a big injury update on Alexander Isak ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday night.

The Reds have been in a poor run of form and they have picked up zero points from their last four league outings. The club also bowed out of the Carabao Cup with a defeat to Crystal Palace this week.

The pressure is on Slot to turn things around. Ahead of tomorrow’s encounter against Villa, Slot has revealed that both Isak and Curtis Jones are 99.99 percent certain to miss the game against Villa.

He said: “They are 99.9 percent sure not in the squad on Saturday.”

Isak was signed for big money from Newcastle United last summer and many felt that the Reds would be favourites to win the league title with the Swede leading the line.

However, the former Magpies man has yet to find his feet. He has also struggled with short-term injuries that have hampered his form since the start of the campaign.
