Apple CEO Tim Cook Stepping Down With New Replacement Confirmed After Taking Over For Steve Jobs 15 Years Ago



After nearly 15 years in the role, Apple CEO Tim Cook is officially stepping down.

Apple announced today that Tim Cook will be transitioning into a new role for the company as the executive chairman of Apple’s board of directors. Meanwhile John Ternus, the current senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, will be the new CEO starting September 1, 2026.
