Anthony joins Brentford from Burnley in four-year deal

Brentford have announced the signing of Jaidon Anthony from Burnley.

Anthony has joined for a reported £17m, including add-ons, and has put pen to paper on a four-year deal, which includes the option for a further 12 months.

The 26-year-old had initially joined Burnley on loan in August 2024 before making the move permanent last summer when they were promoted to the Premier League.

He made 81 appearances for the Clarets in all competitions and finished as their second-highest goalscorer in 2025-26, netting nine goals, with eight of those coming in the top-flight.

“We’re delighted to be able to sign Jaidon,” Brentford boss Keith Andrews told the club’s media channels.

“We’ve been aware of Jaidon’s journey for a long, long time and have always admired him from afar.

“He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated.

“After meeting him, it became very evident that he’d fit into the culture of the club and add to the squad.

“He still has so much more room for growth and improvement, and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”

Brentford open their season at home to Tottenham on August 22, when Anthony could make his competitive debut for the club.
