The pair met last week in the World Series of Darts final in Amsterdam with Smith winning but Price complained afterwards he only had 10 minutes to prepare following the conclusion of his semi-final clash.

Price said: “I’ve got a little bit more time on my hands now between games. The final last week is probably a little bit of a p*** take. I will be 10 times better on Wednesday.”

The feisty Welshman is currently fourth in the PDC World Rankings, 10 places higher than his English opponent.
