Third-tier Mansfield Town shocked Premier League side Burnley in the FA Cup fourth round at Turf Moor on Saturday.

There were also two all-Championship ties, with Norwich City hosting West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City visiting Southampton.

The in-form Canaries scored two late goals to seal victory, while Saints prevailed during extra time to knock out the Foxes.

Burnley vs Mansfield Town: Reed free-kick seals shock

Mansfield captain Louis Reed curled in a 25-yard free-kick with 10 minutes remaining as the Stags reached the fifth round for the first time since 1975 with a 2-1 comeback win at Burnley, who look doomed inside the Premier League relegation zone.

Josh Laurent’s cool finish inside the box gave the Clarets a 21st-minute lead but Rhys Oates, who also had a goal ruled out, headed the equaliser eight minutes after half-time.

Southampton vs Leicester: Bree goal sends Saints through

Substitute James Bree headed the winner in the 109th minute as Southampton scraped past 2021 champions Leicester 2-1.

Cyle Larin’s penalty put the hosts ahead during first-half added time after Caleb Okoli fouled Sam Edozie, but Oliver Skipp’s overhead kick drew Leicester level in the 52nd minute.

Norwich vs West Brom: Mohamed Toure scores again

Australia striker Mohamed Toure scored a hat-trick at Oxford United on his first Norwich start on Tuesday, and the signing from Randers two weeks ago now has five goals in little more than two hours of football after heading in the final goal of their 3-1 win over West Brom in the 93rd minutes.

Fellow City newcomer Paris Maghoma headed the 31st-minute opener, but a strike by Josh Maja – who earlier had a finish ruled out – brought the Baggies level.

Substitute Ben Chrisene fired in to restore Norwich’s lead in the 82nd minute of their seventh win in eight matches in all competitions.

What’s next for Mansfield, Southampton and Norwich in the 2025/26 FA Cup?

The FA Cup fifth round draw will be made on Monday, 16 February, during the pre-match coverage of Macclesfield vs Brentford, which starts at 18:30 GMT.
