Buffy The Vampire Slayer Star David Boreanaz Celebrates The Series’ 28th Anniversary Ahead Of Sequel Show



Buffy the Vampire Slayer star David Boreanaz celebrates the series’ 28th anniversary in a social media post. Playing the immortal vampire Angel, Boreanaz began his 8 year tenure playing the character in the pilot episode of the show. A mid-season replacement, Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 premiered on March 10, 1997.

Reflecting on the series, Boreanaz shares a post on Instagram commemorating the anniversary. Boreanaz writes “This small show premiered on this date back in 1997.” In the replies to his post, Buffy actor Sarah Michelle Gellar writes “Wait for real?!?” alongside his sire and fellow vampire actor Julie Benz, who also appeared in the pilot, saying “Wowowowowowowoowowow!!!!!
