Getting the win on any day’s Connections puzzle is quite a bit difficult, and there is no exception today. Today felt a little more difficult than usual, at least for me, due to the combination of the words in the puzzle. You can avoid some of this by using our tips and tricks to help you along the way. There is a lot going on here, and almost every word can go in one of the categories, but that’s what we are here to help you navigate.

If you are looking for a different puzzle to get you going today, the NYT’s Letter Boxed puzzle is one that is fun to bounce around from place to place. There are always a number of options that you have to navigate between in order to get the right string of words, but experimentation is one of the better qualities of this game in that you can try whatever combination you like until you get it right. It’s a refreshing change from Connections’ sometimes punishing guess count.

Yellow Answers: Revealed & Explained

This one was the easiest category and the only one without a lot of overlap in today’s puzzle for me. LABEL and STAMP are very close to the same thing, and the others are quite similar. Depending on how familiar you are with postage, this could be easier or harder. However, having helped my dad ship his online business for a long time, I am well aware of how many kinds of stamps there are and just how to SEAL up a nice package, maybe even too aware of it.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

This is where things started to overlap quite a bit, and it got a little harder to keep up with. BROWN and DYLAN both fit in other categories, with BROWN being the main one that could fit in both the “cities” category today and two other categories that don’t actually exist in today’s puzzle. So that’s the big stumbling block, and it doesn’t trigger the idea of a musical biopic in the same way MERCURY or CASH would. There’s an overwhelming number of words that could all be a city somewhere, so that also makes it quite difficult.

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained

This one I had about three different times with a different combination of cities, which was unfortunate. The other “false” category here involved a lot of names from the show Severance, which is quite popular right now, and there are four names in the puzzle that could be in that category without an issue. Additionally, there is a much smaller group of words that connect to big-shot universities, but that one isn’t as full as the other one is.

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

LUMON is one of the other words that could go in with the fictional names, and this one felt a little unfair because it’s only a fictional word. There is a real tech company with this name, but it feels a little frustrating. The rest of them are just annoying because I think the misspelled ones are one of the hardest ones to guess overall. It is distracting, and you are working off different words than the actual result wants you to. That said, you can get there, it is just harder.
