Monday Night Raw comes after one of the most explosive weekends in WWE history, as all the fallout to John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber is still echoing around the wrestling world. CM Punk will be in the house, as will the man who cost him at Saturday’s PLE, Seth Rollins. World Champion Gunther will also be in the house, as will his challenger at WrestleMania, Jey Uso.
Raw also futures a host of Championship matches, as Lyra Valkyria defends her Intercontinental Championship against Ivy Nile, and her American Made teammates The Creed Brothers face The War Raiders to try and win the Tag Team titles. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will compete for the Women’s WWE Championship in the night’s Main Event, with Bianca Belair waiting for the winner at WrestleMania. Expect Penta, AJ Styles, Ludwig Kaiser, American Made and more to fill out the first Raw on the road to WrestleMania.
WWE Monday Night Raw Results – Mar 1st, 2025
- CM Punk opens Raw and he looks furious. No “it’s clobbering time” at the top of the ramp, just storming to the ring.
- He tears apart the commentary table, stands on it, and CM Punk says he’s about to give a state of the union address, and he might get WWE cancelled from Netflix.
- Punk starts with The Rock and calls him a “bald fraud”, “Mr Midlife Crisis”, and says he wishes he could say it to Rock’s face. He goes off about Rock’s “fake championship belt”, and said he’d never sell his soul.
- CM Punk then names John Cena and says he says that he’s “always said Cena sells the people bullshit” and on Saturday, he proved him right. He says Cena gave up on everyone, all those kids, and he says he’ll get both of those bald frauds.
- He then turns to Seth Rollins, saying Becky Lynch better save her man before Punk puts him in a wheelchair. Rollins’s music hits instantaneously, and Punk sprints to the top of the ramp, as the brawl between Rollins and Punk explodes.
- The fight goes down the ramp, security guards are misplaced from their positions at ringside, it goes across the ring, over the announce table, onto the floor by the announce tables and officials cover them both to the point they are no longer visible.
- When they are separated, Rollins launches a bottle at Punk as the wild opening to Raw ends.
- The Judgment Day are shown backstage and Finn and the group are again at loggerheads about a new member. Finn says he’s going to take care of Bron Breakker himself, as Liv and Raquel show off their new title belts.
- Gunther speaks to Otis before their match. He says Otis is strong as an ox, he says Jey is a people pleaser who lowers himself to entertain and he doesn’t belong in the World Champion’s ring.
- Gunther says fans don’t like Otis, they pity him. He tells Otis, he sees a championship belt when he looks in the mirror, while Otis can’t find a belt that fits him. Gunther says he’ll make an example of Otis tonight.
- Gunther beats Otis with a powerbomb, but the Alpha Academy man had a fantastic rally and the crowd were enormously behind him.
- Gunther attempted to attack Otis after the bell, but Tozawa jumped on his back. Gunther then powerbombed Tozawa onto Otis
- Jey Uso’s music hits and he hits the ring, spears Gunther and held his world title.
- A-Town Down Under hit the ring to attack Uso, but Jey fights them off hitting a spear on Grayson Waller. Jey is then attacked from behind by Gunther who slaps the sleeper hold on Uso.
- Gunther locks in the sleeper and puts Jey out in the middle of the ring.
- A vignette airs around Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky’s history, including their feuds in NXT and over the years, and their championship match tonight.
- AJ Styles is asked about John Cena and Cody Rhodes. He says he didn’t see it coming, but Karrion Kross approaches him before he can elaborate.
- Styles says he’s going to call out Logan Paul at Raw in Madison Square Garden next Monday, and says Kross shouldn’t try to be the devil on his shoulder, cos god knows his evil way. Kross says “that was easy” as we fade to black.
- Lyra Valkyria defeats Ivy Nile to retain her Intercontinental Championship via Nightwing. Nile had a great strategy to attack Valkyria’s leg but it isn’t enough to displace the champion.
- Seth Rollins is about to be interviewed by Jackie Redmond but Punk and him go to war again. The screaming is deafening, there are around 20 officials separating them and Adam Pearce as we go to commercial.
- Adam Pearce is talking to Seth and Rollins says if he doesn’t get what he wants, he will do to Punk what he did to Roman Reigns and he won’t make it to WrestleMania.
- Adam Pearce confirms Rollins will get what he wants. Next week, it’s CM Punk vs Rollins in a Steel Cage at Madison Square Garden.
- Ludwig Kaiser is in the ring, and says he took back the attention from Penta has had and Kaiser has deserved for a long time.
- Penta interrupts him, as they brawl and Penta gets the better of Ludwig. Penta dives onto Kaiser on the outside as his music plays and Kaiser grimaces on the canvas.
- Bianca is interviewed and says she’s upset about the weekend, but she’s every bit as proud to have overcome the odds as she is concerned by the weekend’s events with Jade and Naomi.
- Bianca says she is going to enjoy the match tonight and see who she will face at WrestleMania.
- A vignette airs showing John Cena’s heel turn with commentary from all of the different international broadcast team.
- Chad Gable is shown receiving a box as part of a cinematic scene. He is told “to beat lucha, you must become lucha”, as Chad pays hundreds of dollars for the box. We do not see what’s in the box and the scene ends.

- Balor says he is untouchable in the ring, and dogs won’t be barking, they’ll be watching him put Breakker down.
- Breakker comes to the ring, he takes out ambush attempts by Carlito and Dirty Dom, but walks into a slingblade from Balor.
- Breakker gets the upper hand, but The Judgment Day save Finn before he takes a spear. Carlito takes a huge spear on the outside.
- Another vignette airs about John Cena’s heel turn.
- Michael Cole says he spoke to Cody Rhodes who will address the situation on Friday night on SmackDown.

- Iyo Sky pins Rhea Ripley after Ripley got involved in a brawl with Bianca Belair at ringside. Rhea then went for a top rope Riptide, but was flipped from the top rope for Sky to land the Over the Moonsault for the victory.
Raw was dominated by Seth Rollins and CM Punk, the physicality of their bitter rivalry reaching new heights at the start of the show in a fantastic spot. Their cage match in Madison Square Garden will be unmissable. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky put on another superb match in their increasing collection of bangers for Raw’s Main Event, as Iyo pulled off the shock of the season to beat Ripley and become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Sky and Belair will now face off at WrestleMania. Keep a close eye on something brewing between Bron Breakker and The Judgment Day, and AJ Styles could be set to challenge Logan Paul at WrestleMania.
