Star Reveals “Disgusting” Scene In Episode 2

As the show’s dedicated fans wait for it to return, one of The Pitt’s stars revealed how “disgusting” filming a scene for the second season was. Amid news about The Pitt season 2 featuring a surprising character change, one of the show’s actors has begun to prepare fans for how extreme things will get.

The kind of fan who knows that Shawn Hatosy has a new The Pitt role will likely have been following casting rumors about the show’s second season. What is even more fascinating to know for sure is that the show’s return will get surprisingly “disgusting.”

Katherine LaNasa told Variety about a scene she has already filmed for The Pitt season 2 that revolted her. LaNasa revealed that the scene occurs in episode 2. Check out her comments below:

“There was something I did already [for Season 2] and I told the producer that I think I needed some jewelry for it. Like he needed to give me some diamonds. You’ll see. It’s in Episode 2. It’s disgusting.”

What This Means For The Pitt Season 2

During the first season of The Pitt, the show never seemed like it was holding back. When patients were brought in with medical needs that most shows would never allow viewers to see, The Pitt depicted what those emergencies look like in high definition.

Since The Pitt season 1 showed how gross hospital ERs can be, fans likely felt the show wasn’t going to get more visually intense. However, based on LaNasa’s comments about The Pitt season 2, it seems like things are going to be taken up a notch.

For fans of The Pitt, there are many things that make it a truly special medical drama. One of the things that makes The Pitt stand out the most has to be that it feels like an unflinching depiction of what ER doctors go through.

Given that realism plays a major role in what makes The Pitt so powerful, featuring a “disgusting” scene should be perceived as a good thing for a simple reason.

During The Pitt season 1, the show never showed anything explicit for gratuitous reasons. Instead, everything that fans saw during the show’s first season served a storyline purpose. With that in mind, the producers of The Pitt should be trusted to handle even a “disgusting” scene with care.

Still, fans should keep LaNasa’s description of the scene from The Pitt season 2, episode 2 in mind. After all, her remarks can help prepare squeamish fans to be ready to look away.
